Meet Your God-sized Dream Team

Dream God-sized Dreams

I recently asked how you’d like for 2013 to be different for you. Because it really can be.

You can say “yes” to a God-sized Dream.

{Disclaimer: A God-sized Dream isn’t about big–it’s about what fits your heart just right because God placed it there as part of your purpose. We all have one. Yep, even you.}

And like I said in the last post, here are some of the ways I want to help you start to take steps toward your God-sized Dream…

  • An ebook I’ve written for you called The Do What You Can Plan: 21 Days to Making Any Area of Your Life Better. It will launch at midnight on New Year’s Eve! If the idea of God-sized Dreams scares you silly, begin with this ebook. {It hit #3 on Amazon’s hot new releases in Christian Living last night, y’all. And it’s not even out yet. Now that’s just Jesus showing off.}
  • A weekly God-sized Dreams link-up right here every Tuesday. I’ll have guest posters, practical tools for you, giveaways and lots of encouragement.
  • A brand new book launching in March called You’re Made for a God-sized Dream: Opening the Door to All God has for You {I’m so excited about this!}
  • A God-sized Dreams Team of encouragers. I received hundreds of fabulous applications {thank you!}. The 99 women on the team below have committed to pursuing a God-sized Dream in 2013 and encouraging you in yours…

Thank you again for allowing me to explore God’s plan for my life with this beautiful group of women!! So very blessed…and thank you Holley for following God’s leading for your life and inspiring so many women to dream big!!

  2. says

Thanks Holly for your new ebook which I just pre-ordered from Amazon. I can’t wait to explore what additional plans God has for my life alongside the dream team of women. God has always led me to the right book to read during different seasons of my life….I feel this is going to be a wonderful inspiring journey!

  3. Lynn says

Holley, reading your words each day have been such an encouragement to me. I am currently training for a new job, but I’m really not sure this is where God wants me to be at this time in my life. I didn’t think it would, because it’s supposed to be part-time, but it is interferring with joining Him in prayer time and service. Please pray for me.
    Truly Blessed.

  4. Maggie says

    Dear Holley,
I am sure I am a lot older than most of your readers but I love reading your emails, they are always so upbeat and positive. I am looking forward to figuring out just what God has put in my heart as His dream for me. Can’t wait

  5. says

This is such an exciting place to be, dreaming these God Sized Dreams, and working alongside you, Holley, and all the other wonderful women on the team, to help us all figure out where, who and what we need to be stepping into! Thanks for the opportunity. Just beside myself with excitement and dancing around on my tippy toes!

  6. Geraldine Davidson says

    Hi Holley,

Your last post emailed to me has stuck with me all of yesterday and today. A few months ago I came to the point in my life where negativity in all areas had to be dealt with. Stirred within by a desire to accomplish great things for God, big or small, I boarded the ship of big dreams and left the shores of negativity behind me. I journalled my big dreams and desires along with others bold enough to dream big and believe with me! But then about three months into my journey I became ship wrecked. I realized to my shame Jesus was not at the helm of this ship….I was. Self will plotted a course and set sail rather recklessly. Since that ship wreck I have suffered ill health, financial pressures I never thought I’d have to go through even to the point of almost losing my home. I was rescued by the Father and now lie exhausted in the ship where Jesus is at the helm. It is still night and I look up and see the stars but have no idea where I am going. I await the first light of dawn. Idols have been broken, dreams have died and I too have had to suffer little deaths as God has been working on my inner transformation. 2012 has been the hardest year of my life. Do I now dare to again hope and believe for another year? The question is are you willing to have people like me join you for coffee? I am willing to give it another shot and believe God for a God sized dream. Although I have to say are we willing to pay the price of the refining we may have to go through to be prepared for our God sized dream?
At first a God sized dream sounded fun and exciting but now I realize that it involves cost too. It should come with the warning, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me”. That cross is self will.
So it is with trepidation and reverential fear I say “Yes, God, I will pursue what you have for me in 2013″

    • Holley says

I would love to have you share this journey with us, Geraldine. I, too, have set out with my own dreams and plans only to experience the brokenness you describe above. There is hope ahead and I’m so proud of you for keeping your heart open to dreaming even after all you’ve experienced! And that disclaimer you shared is so true. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  7. Shelley Cates says

I’m just wondering, after reading about this, if this could be a place where I “discover” my God-sized dream. I’m not sure I have one – do we already have to have a dream to be a part of this or could we also be searching for what that dream might be?

  8. says

What a beautiful group of women you’ve put together. So very blessed to be a part of this! Thank you for inspiring so many women to dream big!!

  9. says

(Love to see Jesus showing off:))

All this to confirm that His Word is true, not one jot or tittle changing until He returns, that He who has begun the good work will complete it!

Holley, your heart, this team, all are instruments of His glorious grace and fulfillment of the promise.

I just want to run on and see what the end is going to be! 2013, I’m opening the door of my heart to God in ways that I know will terrify me to trust and obey! So glad to have this group to journey with.

  10. colleen says

Holley ~ so glad for what you are doing here ~ I too am quite a bit older than most of your readers. I am in the beginnings of an empty nest and feeling a little muddled ~ maybe God will use this in this new phase ~ I sure could use a God-sized dream. One question. I do not own anything for an e-book — any suggestions?? Thanks!! :)

  11. says

Pretty sure I let out another squeal of happiness when I read this. ;) SO excited to see what God is going to do through all of us dreamers!

  12. says

Thank you so much for being apart of this journey. I am excited to see the work God is going to do in all of our lives. Thank you for allowing God to minister through you to us and us to be apart of your journey! Blessings!

  13. Rosanne says

I keep pinching myself because being on this team DOES seem like a dream – the kind you have when snoozing. Thanks for the opportunity – I’m excited for 2013 and what journeys God is going to take all 99. Lookout world – ready or not here we come! :) (well, unless that whole Mayan thing puts a damper on things 0.0)

  14. says

Thanks for your inspiration, encouragement and leadership, Holley. I am honored and so incredibly excited to be a part of this journey. Here’s to a 2013 that is filled with God-sized dreams come true!

  15. says

Holly Merry Xmas! You have inspired me by your amazing thoughts that you put into words.Be blessed as you have been a blessing. I love to be part of the team of achievers for the Lord in 2013.

  16. Martha says

Holley–I’m not sure I “get” it. I don’t know that I have a God-sized dream. If I ever did, it was lost along the way and I don’t even remember it. I have hopes and desires but God-sized dreams?? Anything that resembles a dream is not much different from what many other women want. I’ve always thought that I needed to surrender any hopes/dreams to Him….and even tried again to do so last night but….I just don’t know how to do it and it feels like I’m giving up hope rather than putting my life and future into His capable hands…and it’s very scary. What if it’s not His will to fulfill my hope/dream (should I find it)? He’s made no promises to me that the desire of my heart will be fulfilled, so what’s a girl to do?

  17. Saraphin says

Looking forward to join in to find my God-sized dream and to start moving forward again. I don’t have a Kindle, how does it work to download the ebook? Thanks

  18. Yvonne says

    Hi Holly,

Reading your message about my God sized dream made be feel all nervous about being a part of this but it has been nagging me since I read it. So with butterlies in my tunnmy I am taking this bold step of faith and joining you and the other wonderful ladies in this God sized dream for 2013. I do not have a specific dream but the first dream is to be completely debt free in 2013, pay off my mortgage, credit cards, loans and clear my overdraft. To let go of controlling my life and letting God take control and learning real trust in God when the chips are down.Being obedient to God even when I am scared stiff of the consequences of this obedience. 2013 here I come in Jesus name.

  19. Kim H. says

    Dear Holley,
Thank you for being so transparent and for sharing some of your own personal struggles. I am excited to begin this journey. I have wrestled with depression for over ten years and continue to battle with it now as a wife and mother of two, high energy boys!
Having the proper perspective is a challenge for me and I often fall into “all things negative” thinking. Your e-devotionals have been a source of encouragement since I started subscribing to your blog. Thank you.

Small request- I don’t have a Kindle. Maybe, I’m the last woman on earth who doesn’t have one? But that’s okay with me. I have a strong attachment to paper (yes, i’m being serious) and choose not to read books via e- devices. I am not judging anyone that uses them, so please don’t misinterpret. Just a preference of mine. Could you provide a way to order a printed version from Amazon or a PDF download?
    Thanks

  20. says

Well I am a late comer and only on day three but you know I am okay with that if you are:0) I am thoroughly enjoying this stress-free journey (just a thought provoking place!)

    thanks Holley!

  21. Beth Horvath says

This is very confusing…I responded to a Gail yesterday, but haven’t heard from her. I know that my God-sized dream is to listen to others and to help them to become empowered in what they wish to do in life. I feel blessed to have been following my dream in the first half of my life, but now a s a retired individual, I want to help others to achieve their dream. An avocation of mine is to have a book published in the non-fiction genre explaining the pitfalls and triumphs in the world of teaching.

  22. says

Praying and consulting with friends, job searching and hoping ensued. At some point during this journey, I stumbled upon a lovely website by the name of (in)courage. It was a place that offered sweet words to this world-weary soul of mine.  One of the writers/creator of this encouraging place is Holley Gerth. I read the title in my inbox: “A Dare for You to Keep Dreaming” by Holley Gerth, and I knew it was going to be what I needed that day. I was also thrilled to find out that Holley was creating a “God-Sized Dream Team.” She was looking for women bloggers who wanted to say “yes” to their God-sized dream in 2013.
