I’ll never forget my hands tentatively hovering over a keyboard all the way back in July of 2008. Blogging was still fairly new and my heart pounded with equal parts fear and excitement as I typed out my first post. I finally hit “publish” and then sent a link to a few friends. I never dreamed of all that would be ahead.
My hope was that this place would be like a little online coffee shop for our hearts. A spot for friendship, encouragement and connection. Because of you it has turned into that and so much more. There are about 35,000 of you who read by email and more who gather right here on the site. So on this day as I look back I simply want to say thank you.

Whether you’ve been along for the whole ride or you’re brand new, I’m so glad you’re here. And even if we never get to meet face-to-face this side of heaven, I want you to know I think of you when I write. I pray for you. I sense God’s love for you every time I put words on a page.
It is a privilege to be able to serve you and to walk with you. I want to see you embrace who you are, become all God created you to be and help others do the same. I am for you and I’m cheering you on. Thank you for eight great years!
