Lord,
Thank you for mothers…
those women who tend our hearts,
nurture our souls,
grow what’s good within us.
I think again of Eve
mother of all living
and all her daughters who bring life to the world–
many to children they hold in their arms,
others to dreams they carry inside.
For the one reading this right now,
give her heart a hug for me…
and bring her joy today and always.
