{my graphics are free goodies for you}
The hard place where we might be right now is not where we will be forever. Oh, it feels like it in the moment. The light fades and the curtains close. “This is who I am now,” we tell ourselves, “This is how it will always be.” Hope seems to slip through the crack in the window. But all of this is a mirage. Because we are not the hard-place people.
“I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire, and the flame will not burn you.” – Isaiah 43:2
Can you see it too? We are the pass-through people. Yes, the trouble comes. The tears fall. The heart breaks. But that isn’t the end of the story. Whether in this life or the next, we make it to the other side. To the joy, the light, the victory.
As someone who has battled anxiety and depression most of her life, who recently sat by her Mama’s bedside in a hospital for weeks, who walked the road of infertility for almost a decade, I can bear witness that this is true. Many days I needed someone to help me not give up so today, right here and now, I want to be that person for you.
Hope is still here. Love is with us. Victory is ours.
We are not done. We will not be overcome. We are only passing through.
XOXO
