I say into the phone, “But I feel so weird. Who else does this?” I’ve let my imagination run wild again–comparing myself to other people in my life.

“Yes,” I ponder, “The world says, ‘Everybody’s doing it so you should too.’ But it seems like God says, ‘Nobody’s doing it so I need you to.'”
Build an ark.
Lead a nation across a desert.
Become a king instead of a shepherd.
What God calls us to do always seems a bit unlikely and impossible. But we need you to be YOU and to do what only you are called to.
Let’s keep at it.
Keep our heads up.
Keep our hands and hearts open to the One who has more for us than we can even imagine.
