Summer slips in and the days are warmer. Flowers bloom, children finish school, picnics abound and fireflies kiss the evening sky.
It reminds us winter doesn’t last forever.
Summer comes to our hearts too. It slips in and our smiles are wider. Dreams bloom, blessings come, joy lights our souls again.
Those times remind us difficulties don’t last forever either.
This Sunday as we pray and share, let’s thank God for one of our favorite parts of summer. If you’re not in a summer season of the soul, you can still leave a prayer request too. And please pray for each other.
God, thank you for…
evenings on the back porch
lemonade
ice cream
the laughter of friends
the coolness of water on bare feet
flowers the color of sunset
Your turn…
And just for fun, if you leave a comment by midnight on Monday you’ll be entered to win this Life to Full pitcher. It says, “I have come that they might have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10).
Update: Congrats to April for winning the pitcher!
