I’m deliberately finding joy for forty days. To start from day one click here.
Last night Mark and I went to a nearby town for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant we chose is close to where we attended college, met, and dated. So we visited some of our favorite spots again…
(subscribers, if you can’t see the photos click here.)
This is the spot where I fell in love with Mark. It was a chilly fall evening, he opened his coat and let me wrap my arms around him to stay warm, and I remember feeling, “I’m home.”
On these steps we had one of our first serious conversations about our future together.
And this is the sorority house where I lived for three years. Mark picked me up for many dates at this front door!
At our college they put your name in the sidewalk when you graduate. We married the summer afterward.
This little walk down memory lane brought joy…and excitement about what’s down the road for us.
We’re traveling soon–I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!
Before I go, here’s another giveaway…
Congratulations to Becca! She left a comment on Wednesday’s post that was chosen by the random number generator.
Becca is getting this sterling silver bangle bracelet from DaySpring that says, “With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). Becca, send me an e-mail with your info so I can get it to you!
If you want the bracelet too (or anything else on DaySpring.com) remember you can use my friends and family code for 20% off (holley20).
Would you like to join me in the Joy challenge? Just share one thing that brings you joy. I’ll have random giveaways for people who comment or subscribe during the next forty days. And you never know when it could be you…
