When You Want to Be a Go-Getter

Red Sneakers photo by D Sharon Pruitt

I’m a girl who knows what it’s like to live on the go. Full schedule. Full speed.

But I didn’t know this: Living that way doesn’t always get you where you think it will.

It led me to a place of burnout, exhaustion, and stress. So the last few years God has been teaching me about heart rest.

And it’s in those places of trust I’ve found what I thought I had to strive for: peace, joy, acceptance.

I was running after things that had been with me all along.

So take this word of caution from someone who’s lived it…

Before you become a go-getter, make sure you really want what you’re going to get.

It’s okay to slow down. You’re already loved.

XOXO
