God-sized Dream = A desire in your heart for more of what God has for you.

We’re opening the door to God-sized dreams in 2013. So every week we get together to encourage each other {because don’t we all need it? yes, ma’am.}. This week Jennifer Watson is here to share about God-sized dreams with you…

We were never meant to be lone-dreamers. You need a God-sized posse, a small gang, and someone to dream crazy dreams with. We were never meant to walk this journey alone. When we lock hearts with one another and dream God-dreams we are a force to be reckoned with! — Jennifer Watson, Today’s Guest Poster
One thing that I have learned along the journey of God-sized dreams is this; we were never meant to be lone-dreamers. Alone and stranded by fear we sink when God made us to soar.
This is the Jesus that sent out His disciples in pairs, a blending of souls to accomplish amazing things. I have a God-sized dreamer friend to walk through this journey with. We are more than best friends; we are more like a small gang. Together we are stronger, better, and sometimes crazier. We are meant to be that three-cord-strand not easily broken and frayed.
Standing alone I’m frazzled and frayed coming apart seam by seam and my dream seems too big and out of reach. I’m the girl trying to lasso the moon, insignificant and silly. The enemy of our souls, the dream stealer, begs us not to dream. Standing alone and stranded, we listen to him. Yet something within us is unrelenting, ever hoping in the unseen.
Once again God whispers a dream in your ear and for a moment your eyes light up like they used to at Christmastime because you know that wrapped with a ribbon of radiance is your dream. It has your name on it. But, you have to wait to open it.
You chase the dream like you used to chase boys, but now you chase little ones and juggle life carefully while trying to hold onto the faint whisper of a dream. You long for it. Your thoughts drift off thinking about it. And often you wait a very long time for it to come to fruition. God’s clock is timeless.
So one day timidly, or perhaps overly caffeinated, you let the God-dream slip out of your mouth and into the open space to a friend and her eyes light up too. She can see your dream as real as the coffee you sip. God lets her see the dream and God lets her see you. Beautifully designed for greatness together, you chase dreams with someone who gets it.
What once was your secret, crazy dream etched on your heart by the God who formed you is now a pinkie promise with another dreamer who walks with you hand in hand and heart to heart.

Wrapped with perfection is a dream with your name on it…perhaps it’s waiting to be unwrapped by you. Some of the biggest gifts in life take more than two hands to unwrap releasing joy in the hearts of those who refuse to dream alone.

Now it’s your turn!
Last week your “do what you can step” for your God-sized dream was to find a God-sized dreams buddy. Link-up your blog post sharing who you chose and why. So we can all find each other, please include this God-sized Dreams button in your post {you can get the code in the sidebar}. Also, love on your fellow God-sized dreamin’ sisters by leaving a comment on the post before yours.
On the God-sized dreams team, we paired up with buddies and mine are two wonderful women, Ashley and Deb.
For next week take this “do what you can” step for your God-sized dream: think back to another time when you took positive action in your life. {Unless you’re still eating baby food, crawling and wearing onesies you’ve already come a long way!} What’s one thing that helped you move forward that you could apply again now and someone else could benefit from hearing too? Write a post about your answer and link it up here next week. {If you don’t have a blog, you can share in the comments.}
