Be courageous and write in a way that scares you a little.
That’s the saying on one of my dear friend Dawn Camp’s prints.
It’s what I’ve said to the writers of (in)courage ever since we began.
And I’m saying it to you too…
Be courageous and live in a way that scares you a little.
Be courageous and work in a way that scares you a little.
Be courageous and minister in a way that scares you a little.
Why?
Because we spend so much energy running away from fear. And when we stand in courage instead, fear runs away from us. Oh, it will always hang around. Fear is part of being human. I still shake in my cute boots some days. I imagine you do too. But every time we choose courage, fear gets smaller and God seem bigger. Bit by bit.
One word.
One step.
One choice.
Let’s be courageous in little ways today, friend.
XO
