Most of us know what it’s like to hang on to a toxic relationship too long. We see the signs. We feel the uneasiness. We hear the hints from other people. And yet we keep believing it will get better.
And after connecting with thousands of women, I’ve discovered the most common toxic relationship is this: the one we have with “perfection.”
It’s easy to see why. Whether we’re on Pinterest or in a church pew, someone is always telling us {directly or indirectly} we need to try harder. But lack of effort isn’t the problem. The endless pressure to be perfect is. And it’s also a big part of what’s causing so many of us to wrestle with depression, anxiety and exhaustion.

Here’s the scandalous truth: You don’t have to be perfect because you’re already perfectly loved. You can trade your toxic relationship with “perfection” for an intimacy with Jesus that’s built on true love, grace and growth. {I know that may sound too good to be true right now…we’ll talk more about why this is real in the weeks to come.}
It’s time to break up with perfect and find the love your heart has been searching for all along.
Will you join me in breaking up with “perfection” this Valentine’s Day?
XOXO
