The big of his hand on the small of my shoulder.
The way he still says “my darling daughter.”
The worry he turns into prayers for me.
Thank you, God, for my Dad.
PS – Every Sunday we pray and share. This week let’s focus on the dads in our lives. Just leave a comment below thanking God for a man who has made a difference in your life–father, brother, uncle, husband, friend. And if there’s a way we can pray for him, let us know that too!

I know many of you had hard relationships with your dads. If so, you’re especially on my mind today. You might like to read The Work of All Kids: How to Forgive Our Parents by Ann Voskamp or Why Daddies Are Worth Remembering Even If You Didn’t Have One by Bonnie Gray.
Those of you who are having a hard day because of infertility or other losses are close to my heart too. The article I wrote about When Mother’s Day is Difficult applies to Father’s Day as well. You can download it free here.
