This one goes out to all the warriors in yoga pants or tennis shoes, the ones strolling through the grocery store or scrolling on social media. When you look in the mirror today, you might see an ordinary human, messy hair, maybe even dark circles under your eyes. But you’re a champion in disguise.
Don’t let what’s on the surface fool you. It’s not the whole story. Inside you are fire and tenderness, fierceness and tenacity, resilience and a roar that can shake the world. You are doing hard things. You are taking territory. You are saying “no more” to the darkness. You are kicking butt and taking names (or naps), loving people and refusing to quit, and pushing forward when it would be easier to play it safe.
You may sometimes think of how much more you wish you could do, the gap between what is and what you want to be. But don’t let that vision make you miss what an overcomer you are TODAY. Right here. Right now.
Remember how far you’ve come, how much you’ve learned, all the little ways you’ve won. Maybe you didn’t know how to do it better back then. You know now, and you are stronger, wiser, more courageous for it.
Fighting perfectly is not required.
Fighting until you prevail is what matters.
You and God are going to win together today.
Cheering You On,
Holley
